Our rescue cat’s name is Jules as in Jules Vern and all the adventures and excitement that surrounds his short stories and sixty books. A true pioneer in science fiction novels.

I did look up ORANGE cats names and trust me there were over 300 choices and in different languages. In French and German it is still ORANGE and in the UK they are referred to as Ginger. ORANGE cats have particular traits and purr-sonalites that I am going to share with you. They are loved because of their warm and fiery fur and playful demeanor. They are also marked with a M which I say is for MY cat.

One day I was talking about Jules and my mind went blank and I was saying you know, my cat, oh what the heck is his name? Then I blurted out ORANGE-Y and that stuck, and I guess the cat had my tongue, LOL So to all the Orange cats MEOW! from my Jules aka ORANGE-Y.

BLACK CAT MONTH

BLACK cats have a long misunderstood and mysterious past. They have been associated with BLACK magic, witch craft, evil, darkness and bad luck. These cats are not the most popular choices which is too bad and sad as they find it more difficult to be adopted.

Lucky for us we adopted two BLACK kittens and they had been transported from the Kamloops SPCA to the lower mainland. Bonded brother and sister we were told and the Vet said not, brothers and we didn’t care as they were now part of our family.

We adopted Jules and Misty from the SPCA and they are rescue cats. They were returned because they were too much work, how sad. Their loss our gain.
